“Nozomi Ishiguro”石黑望 S/S2009 Haute Couture Banana Zip Pants
Nozomi Ishiguro is a designer who worked for COMME des GARÇONS for over 10 years before launching her namesake label in 1998. Her works are known for their complex, multi-layered constructions and experimental use of mixed materials.
This trousers closely resembles the Banana Zip Denim from Rick Owens DRKSHDW 09SS, though neither was the first brand to introduce this design. The earliest version featuring a single zipper running all the way through was created by a British outdoor brand called “GRIFFIN” from 1990s —— we can talk about it next time.
