Alexandre Plokhov is a Russian-born American designer known for shaping the darkwear movement of the mid-2000s. Through his label Cloak with Robert Geller and his namesake brand launched in 2011, he became recognized for sharp tailoring, military influences, and monochromatic gothic aesthetics.
His work often blended severe silhouettes with spiritual and artisanal references, including his Spring 2013 collection inspired by Russian Orthodox monks. Plokhov also designed for Versace and Helmut Lang, leaving a lasting influence on avant-garde menswear.
